Australian Document Verification Service
The DVS is a 1-to-1 matching service that verifies the biographic data printed on an ID by matching it against the official government record holder. Verifiable documents include Passport, Driver Licence, Medicare and many more.

Expanded Responses
The DVS checks each data field on a document request body in sequence. Only the first unmatched field is returned in the Errors “Message” field. No subsequent unmatched fields will be returned. Following a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) by the DVS, the design of the Expanded Responses was implemented to only return one response at a time with the priority order of the data field responses only known to the respective Document Issuers.
